Following a meeting at the GFA offices in Accra on Tuesday, the FA Cup Committee is informing all 64 team still in the running for Ghana’s knockout championship to contact their respective Regional Football Associations (RFAs) in order to access their appearance fees for the phase which begins on Saturday December 21 through Sunday December 29.
According to the organisers, the teams drawn to play at home in the round of 64 will all receive an appearance fee of GH?1,000 whilst the away teams get GH?1,500 each in addition to an automatic GH?1,600 from the MTN sponsors to each team to help in their purchase of strips which will eventually be fully MTN branded.
Sportsinghana.com can also report that participating clubs are to contact Miss Hanna at the GFA for their MTN Recharge cards and the Branding materials (clubs which fail to use the MTN branding SHALL BE SANCTIONED).
Each match will also see the award of MVP, best defender and discovery. The MVP will get an instant reward of GH?100 worth of MTN credits whilst the best defender and discovery are entered into a data for end of season award.
The MTN FA Cup champions of course are reserved the right to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup.
