Former Black Stars skipper Abdul Razak ‘Golden boy’ has revealed exclusively to Ghanaguardian.com that he will be interested in taking up the job as head coach of Ghana women’s national team, the Black Queens.

The Black Queens coaching job has been left vacant since Didi Dramani resigned from his post to join Danish top-flight side FC Nordsjælland ahead of the African Women’s Championship which will be staged in Ghana.

According to reports, Former Black Queens player, Mercy Tagoe will temporarily take charge of the Female national as the FA assesses applicants for a substantive coach.

The renowned coach told Ghanaguardian.com that he has officially thrown his name in the mix for consideration as the technical team of the FA ponders on who to appoint.

Razak won the 1978 AFCON with Ghana and also holds the record as the first coach to have won the first Ghana Premier League trophy for Asante Kotoko in 2003 since the league turned professional in 1993.
