Franceville, Feb 1, GNA- Coach Francis Oti Akenteng has called for caution when Ghana meet Tunisia in a quarter final meeting at the Franceville Stadium, on Sunday.
Coach Akenteng is one of the three coaches scouting for Ghana at the biannual fiesta that laces the continents best 16 together, insists Tunisia could be deadly.
The coach told GNA Sports in Franceville that “I have watched them thrice and they can be very dangerous. They have a complete team with a very strong bench”.
“It will not be an easy game at all and their strong aerial ability is one of the many positives we must look to curtail. They can vary the game severally within the entire proceedings.”
He described Msakni Youssef who scored as a late substitute in their game against Morocco and was again on target against Niger as the man to watch on Saturday. “Youssef has very high technical ability and look for him each time they have the ball. He scored as a substitute in the game against Morocco and did same against Niger when he started. “He dribbles, tackles and his ability to take on a team on his own is very impressive. He sometimes spearheads and acts like an auxiliary attacker.”
The coach said Tunisia has a penchant for surprising opponents with unexpected shots capable of surprising every goalkeeper. Coach Akenteng said Tunisia is a very tactically discipline side. “They are always attacking, covers very well, know how and when to draw out opponents and hardly slumber throughout the game”.
“They can soak up pressure very well, counter in droves, very canny with their set pieces with the manner in which they can vary it.”
Ghana would meet Tunisia by picking only a point in their last Group D game in Franceville later today.
