Accra, May 3, GNA - Coach of the Black Princesses, Kuuku Dadzie, is seeking to beef up his team as they step up preparations for the crucial second leg of the All African Games qualifier with Nigeria's Super Falcons next week.
Coach Dadzie has thus extended invitation to three Black Queens players as he seeks to put the break on the African Champions after the Princesses picked a point off the Falcons last week at Abuja. The trio of Agnes Aduako, Fiaza Ibrahim and Safia Abdul Ibrahim are expected to strengthen the team's attack and midfield for the second leg Ghana must win to qualify for the 10 All African Games in Mozambique in September this year.
Coach Dadzie told GNA Sports that "I was hoping to have them for the game in Abuja=A0but minor injuries prevented that. Hopefully they will be with us strong enough to propel the team to victory".
He said the experience the three bring will make up for some of the mistakes his young team committed against the experienced Falcons in last Sunday's meeting which Desire Oparanozie and Grace Asare scored for Nigeria and Ghana respectively.
Coach Dadzie told GNA Sports "In Abuja, the girls initially over respected the Falcons but when they warmed up into the game, the story changed. We are convinced mixing these experienced once plus the quality we have in the team will take us through".
Oparanozie sent the stadium chanting with the opener for the Falcons on the 75th minute when the bulky striker picked a ball from Ebere Orji in the middle and sent a powerful shot that hit the roof of the net to give Nigeria a realistic joy.
Ghana reacted well knowing keeping the score line at that stage will give them a realistic chance of progress in the return duel in Accra.
However substitute Elizabeth Addo who took over from Janet Owusu darted right to the Nigerian goal area and played a one-two with Agnes Quaye, as an equalizer beckoned.
Addo brilliantly sent in an in-swinger that found cool head Asare to finish off with a composure that will send the home team blaming each other five minutes on.
