Owner of Tema Youth FC, Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer has suggested that football reasons can not be ascribed to GFA’s decision not to renew the contract of ex-Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah.

Appiah lost his two-year job as the Black Stars coach after the FA declined to activate a renewal clause in his contract.

Subsequently, CK Akonnor was engaged as Stars coach and reportedly tied to a two-year contract.

Though the FA failed to disclose the reason for their decision to pull the plug on Kwasi Appiah’s Black Stars stint, Palmer is alleging that it was due to his consistent sidelining of certain players.

Palmer claims that some figures within the FA who were unhappy with Appiah’s selection kicked him out.

“Is it not an open secret that because Kwasi Appiah did not call certain kind of players [when he was in charge of Ghana], somebody got agitated and at the end of it all we know the outcome of that decision today,” Palmer told FOX FM.

This is the freshest in a recent wave of attacks Palmer has launched on the GFA.

The past few days have seen Palmer casting aspersions and insinuations about the leadership of the GFA with little evidence to validate his claims.

Last week, Palmer descended on the FA administration with a number of unsubstantiated claims which includes the FA attempting to cover up financial mishaps in the NC era.

A comment of his which impugns the reputation of the FA and indicts the various national team coaches has incurred the wrath of association.

GhanaWeb has learnt that the Ethics Committee of the association will in the coming day summon him to provide evidence to his claims.
