Coach Moses Cofie lands Sudan club deal

Ghanaian international coach, Moses Cofie has signed a two year deal with Sudanese club El Nisoor Sporting Club, a premiership side in Khartoum yesterday.

The contents of the deal were not disclosed, but the coach who handled the team in 2011 and took them to greater heights and left for Benin to handle Tonnere SC to the African Champions’ League in 2012 has been assigned to handle the club till December 31, 2014.

Sources close to El Nisoor said the performance of the club was not satisfactory and so they called upon the Ghanaian tactician to come and straighten things up for them.

Moses Cofie played for Ghanaian teams, Accra Great Olympics, Liberty Professional and Accra Hearts of Oak before moving to Nigeria, Togo and Sudan to continue his career. He was called into the national teams of Ghana and Togo before retiring.

The former midfielder with good eyes for goals told yours truly he will raise the image and standard of play of his new club. He hinted that there are some good players in Sudan and if they are groomed very well, they can compete with other international stars.
