Accra Hearts of Oak SC have officially written to the Ghana Football Association asking to be furnished with details of the 10-year StarTimes sponsorship deal.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the club, it is essential of the GFA to provide the sixteen premier league clubs with a copy of the sponsorship agreement in order to clear all doubts and forestall future disputes.
“We feel that it will be prudent for the GFA to provide us with copies of the ten-year sponsorship agreement with the StarTimes for the league because it will help us”, Opare Addo told SportsObama.com
“Not that we are doubting what is in the contract, but the contents of the contract has direct effects on us as clubs so we cannot stay unconcerned and I don’t think that it is wrong to ask for details of our own contract”,
“We are not doubting what is in the contract, but we just want to satisfy our curiosity”, He added
The Ghana Football Association signed a 10-year 17.9million deal for the broadcast rights of the Ghana league with the GFA last year but the the deal has come under scrutiny with clubs calling for the details before the season kicks off.
