President of Techiman City, Charles Kwadwo Ntim has advised the leadership of the Ghana Football Association to take their own initiatives in finding a way to help and clubs in the wake of the novel coronavirus.

With football suspended by President Akufo-Addo through the ban on social gatherings, Kurt Okraku and some members of the GFA Exco have appealed to the government through the Sports Ministry to come to their aid in this trying time.

However, according to the man who is widely known in the football circles as Micky Charles, the GFA has taken a good step but it shouldn’t just end at the doorsteps of the government.

In an interview with the Kumasi based Nhyira FM, he charged the Kurt Okraku led administration to be proactive in a situation like this.

“The GFA should not sit and rely on the government to support the clubs. They have to do something themselves to help the clubs"

"The GFA should be proactive in a situation like this,” he added.
