The National Sports for All Associations Ghana (NASFAAG) in partnership with the Ghana Trade Fair Company will as part of this year’s 16th Ghana International Trade Fair, stage a corporate and endurance keep fit walk to spice up the occasion.
To be organized in two phases, the first is a 7 kilometre keep fit walk on Saturday February 25 from the Trade Fair site in La, Accra through the La township and its environs back to the starting point where a Medical Screening Team will offer free breast cancer, heart, BP, malaria and other free health services.
Sponsored by Midland Savings and Loans, Home Touch Foods, Top Radio and TV, Safina Mineral Water among others, the second event takes place on 3rdMarch and is mainly aerobics at the Trade Fair forecourts to be supervised by NASFAAG and which all corporate executives are encouraged to be part of.
“It’s quite interesting as we are preparing for the grand opening of the 16 th Trade Fair and we want to make it as exciting and community based as possible and involve everyone.
“Although the basic rationale is to do business, our elders say that all work and no play makes us dull boys. They also say a healthy body is a wealthy body,” stated Nana Ofori-Amanfo, Ag Director-General of the Ghana Trade Fair Company.
“I thank you very much for remembering us to be part of this your unique programme. We are so much excited by the whole thing and we are inviting everyone to be part of this walk because the quality of life you can live in this world is to exercise,” echoed Nana Adu Mankata II, NASFAAG President.
