Hearts of Oak's Nigerian-born striker Cosmos Dauda scored a second-half penalty for his side but Vincent Adu got an equalizer for Techiman City in a nail-biting encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium which ultimately ended 1-1.
The Phobians were well and truly beaten at Sogakope last week meaning they had to respond against a stubborn Techiman City side who showed steel and zeal in the first half of the game.
With almost all the players who started in the defeat to WAFA playing it was the return to the starting eleven of Ollenu Ashitey that caught the eye and he was very lively in the first fifteen minutes.
And did not waste time in making his influence felt after setting up Cosmos Dauda on the fifteenth minute but his strike was very feeble.
That was about the most liveliest spot in a very quite first half. Hearts of Oak have struggled at home this season and the frustration was visible after first half ended 0-0 despite the home side enjoying maximum possession.
The second half started with a lot of fire from both teams but it was Hearts of Oak who would get the goal after trickster Paul Acquah was fouled in the penalty box. Cosmos Dauda stepped forward and scored his 9th goal of the season.
The goal was all Hearts of Oak deserved after dominating possession in the second half.
But after working really hard to get ahead Hearts of Oak dropped their shoulders and Vincent Adu scored with a good finish on the 68th minute to drag his side level.
Hearts of Oak suffered more misery with news that goal scorer Cosmos Dauda who was replaced by Patrick Razak earlier on could be out for weeks with a suspected hamstring.
After ninety Minutes the Phobians will feel its two points lose rather than a point gained. After miserable failing picking just a point in their last two games.
