Illegal Chainsaw Operators Arrested

The "Operation Calm Life" comprising the military and police taskforce launched by the government to check crime, indiscipline and to clamp down on the illegal activities of chainsaw operators and saw millers has impounded 1,160 sawn lumbers in the Atwima District of Ashanti within two days.

The "Operation Calm Life" comprising the military and police taskforce launched by the government to check crime, indiscipline and to clamp down on the illegal activities of chainsaw operators and saw millers has impounded 1,160 sawn lumbers in the Atwima District of Ashanti within two days. Briefing the GNA at Nkawie, Lieutenant Emmanuel Darko, Platoon Commander, said two people and their accomplices are helping the Police in their investigation while three chainsaws and eight motors with their accessories were impounded during the operation.
