As the Zonal qualifiers for the 8th All Africa Games continue Angola, Tunisia, Ghana and Morocco have picked tickets for the Abuja 2003 event in handball.
The Cameroon men's team are the latest to join their female counterparts after knocking-off three other opponents in Zone-3 by beaten Uganda 8-5, Mauritius 23-12 and Ethiopia 13-10.
Morocco's men and women teams have also won in Zone-3 after beating Botswana home and away, while Cote d'Ivoire qualified automatically to secure their own ticket with Benin Republic in the one match played.
South Africa automatically qualified for the Games as hosts of the last edition of the games, leaving the tickets for Mozambique.
Nigeria as the hosts, Angola as the defending champions in the men's category and Cote d'Ivoire also defending champions for women have equally qualified for the Games.
THISDAYSports gathered that Benin Republic, Cote d'Ivoire, and Ghana were expected to arrive Lagos tomorrow for the on going Calypso International Beach Handball Championship organised by the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) in collaboration with Nigeria Distilleries Limited.
The competition is billed to kicks-off at Lekki Beach, Victoria Island Lagos on Thursday and end on Sunday.
The winner in the event would smile home with sum of N100, 000 in the men's category while N80, 000 is up for grabs in the female version.
