The Accra High Court Commercial Division has reportedly ordered the sale of two mansions owned by former Ghanaian football star, Michael Essien.
According to a report by Dailyguidenetwork.com, which was sighted by GhanaWeb, the properties are located at Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon, House Number 9, and House Number 204/205, Trassaco (Phase 2) Adjiringano, all in Accra.
The auctioneer, who is charged with disposing of the properties and spoke on the condition of anonymity, confirmed the order by the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court.
The auctioneer estimates that one of the properties is valued between $20 and $30 million.
While the details of the court process remain unclear, a report by Kickgh.com indicates that the former Chelsea star has been battling financial issues, including unpaid loans.
