Ghana midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp prefers the English Premier League season to be completed rather than ended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The Premier League has been suspended until at least April 30 following the rapid spread of the deadly virus. There are calls for the league to be ended and Liverpool declared champions.
However, Schlupp, who is just recovering from an injury that has kept him out since December, believes it will be fair if the season is completed.
"I think it's obviously be started so you've got to finish it," he told Alex Howell on his 'Staying in With' Youtube Show.
"I think cancelling the season doesn't really work with me and it's too harsh on the league. If you ask every player, everyone wants to play and if there is an opportunity of finishing the league then we will stand by," he added.
"I mean obviously in the Liverpool situation I fell like is a bit quite harsh, they could have won it without even playing but it's just that one game away which is obviously frustrating for them I can imagine. But it's just only fair to finish the season."
Meanwhile reports in the UK suggests that the date for the return of the premier league could be pushed forward to May to help with the control of the virus.
Schlupp made 14 appearances and scored twice in the Premier League before getting injured in December.
