Cycling Association-Akwaaba Open fixed for August 14

Accra, Aug. 11, GNA - The Ghana Cycling Association (GCA) will on August 14, organize a cycling race dubbed "GCA-Akwaaba Open Cycling Championship".

The Championship, which is the first to be organized by the newly elected leadership of the Association, is aimed at raising awareness on the sport in the country as well as introducing it to the corporate world for its development and promotion.

William Kyei, General Secretary of the GCA in a statement copied to GNA Sports said the event, which is open to all cyclists is under the sponsorship of the National Sports Council and Promasidor Ghana Limited (Cowbell).

The statement appealed to companies and philanthropists to support the Association in the development and promotion of the sport.
