Dan Coleman is undoubtedly one of the most decorated Accra Hearts of Oak players.

However, for a man who carried Accra Heats of Oak hopes on his shoulders for years, his current condition leaves much to be desired

The former player of Hearts of Oak has revealed that he lost an amount of $50,000 from his transfer due to ignorance and lack of education.

The former Hearts of Oak defender in an interview with SVTV Africa told host DJ Nyaami that, he was cheated by officials of his former club, Hearts of Oak during his transfer to a new club in Saudi Arabia.

“The new club I was moving was a $60,000 contract, to which I signed. However, the then coach of Hearts of Oak deceitfully took the money saying the money belongs to Hearts of Oak and I was paid $10,000 a month and I ignorantly agreed because I didn’t know how it was done.” He added.

Coleman added that, he had to quit the playing for the Suadi Arabian club because he felt being cheated and wasn’t making enough money as a player.

Dan Cole likes keeping a low profile, which, by his admission, could be a disadvantage. Many people think he is not ambitious about life and others have taken advantage of him.

The affable defender has played for the Ghana National team for years.

He said, he quit football and left Ghana because no club in Ghana was willing to work with him because he played for Hearts of Oak.

Dan Coleman however noted that, he is working hard in educating himself and using his experience to be a football coach someday.
