Afienya (G/A), Aug. 11, -- The Dangme West district of the Greater Accra region today took over two classroom blocks constructed by Sam Zakari Construction Works at Afienya. The blocks, made up of eight classrooms and built for the local primary and junior secondary school (JSS), financed at a cost 39.6 million cedis from its common fund. Mr. S. Y. Bakudie, district engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD) who collected the keys to the two blocks on behalf of the district assembly, commended the contractors for completing the job ahead of schedule and assured them of more contracts in the future. Mr. Bakudie said the Dangme district assembly, a baby district in the Greater Accra region with a vast land area, has expeditiously used the common fund on a number of development projects.
