Chief coordinator for the 2014 World Cup Secretariat Mr. Fred Ebo Darko has told the Presidential Commission that the Ghana football Ambassadors to Brazil took $250 as per diem.
Appearing before the Commission on Thursday, the Manager Director for Evolution International seemed to have come with further and better particulars as he presented a contradictory figures to his earlier submission.
Mr. Darko had earlier told the Commission that the Ambassadors took $100 as their per diem's.
He also told the Commission that he took an amount of $216,452 on him to Brazil for operational purposes. "Does that mean you lied to us?," Moses Foh-Amoaning asked.
"No my lord. Like I said yesterday I wanted to get my figure right that is why my counsel pried to your lordships to allow me go and get my figures right," Fred Darko told the Commission.
Mr. Darko had earlier told the Commission on record that he carried a little over hundred thousand dollars to Brazil for the said purpose.
He also told the Commission that the caterers were paid 17,200 per head as service fees for 15 days.
Again, Mr. Darko told the Commission that he's aware they were paid $2000 as honorarium fees but the Commissioners contested that figure as they alerted him that what they have before them is $5000.
