Anderlecht striker Dauda Mohammed has urged his former Asante Kotoko team-mates to beat CARA Brazzaville in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup to win back the love of their supporters.
The MTN FA Cup holders will host Congolese side CARA Brazzaville in first leg of CAF's second-tier club competition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
But most of the Porcupine Warriors have cast doubt about the quality their team possess ahead of the crunch encounter following their inconsistent performance in the GHALCA G-8 tournament and the GFA/StarTimes Gala, where they were eliminated at the semifinal and first round of the competitions respectively.
And Mohammed, who was the club's leading marksman before departing to join the Belgian giants last year, has called on his former team-mates to win back the trust of the fans by recording a convincing victory over their opponents on Sunday.
"I will encourage my former teammates to use this opportunity to win back the support of the supporters because they were not too happy during last season," the 19-year-old declared on German-based Topical Radio.
