Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda will stare from the bench in Orlando Pirates’ league game against Ajax Cape Town on Tuesday evening, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The first choice Black Stars goalkeeper only made his full competitive debut in last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Polokwane City.
Dauda was selected in that game ahead of regular Senzo Meyiwa who limped off in the previous match for the Bucs.
The South African goalkeeper has however been given the nod in Tuesday’s PSL game as new coach Vladimir Vermezovic feels his way through the squad.
Dauda’s drop will be seen as a major setback in his bid to claim the first choice position for himself.
The 28-year-old has struggled for regular first team action since arriving from AshantiGold at the start of the season.
He however keeps getting assurances his time will come at the South African giants.
