Former Hearts of Oak Coach David Duncan has defended his comments toward Kotoko during his days at the Phobian Club by claiming they were all mind games.
The highly vocal coach has come in for some bashing from sections of the Kotoko guild as reports of his imminent arrival at the club creates steam.
Duncan is on record to have questioned the wisdom behind the selection of Kotoko players to the Black Stars in recent times, a comment which did not go down well with them.
Former Kotoko CEO, Jarvis Peprah has publicly declared his stands against the former Free state stars coach.
But Duncan says he does not regret such comments and that they were all part of his mental preparations towards game.
“I do not have any apologies to give to anybody, not at all. Such comments are part of the game, they work on players to give their all,” Duncan told Accra-based Happy FM
“Me I call them mind games and they were just meant to up my team to work hard.
“When I am going to play minors, I do talk a lot but when I am going to tough sides I try to make sure my teams are up there.”
