David Duncan is expected to fly into Kumasi this morning to sign a two-year contract to become the new head coach of Asante Kotoko.
The 51-year-old agreed in principle to be the substantive replacement for Mas-Ud Dramani last week and joined the side for their CAF Champions League match in Algeria against MC El Eulma as an ‘observer’.
Duncan is yet to travel to Kumasi to begin his new adventure following the team’s return from Algeria earlier in the week.
But Asante Kotoko’s African Cup Committee chairman Alhaji Abu Lamine reveals the former Hearts of Oak trainer is expected in Kumasi on Wednesday to seal the deal.
“He [David Duncan] will be in Kumasi on Wednesday morning, sign the contract and then will be unveiled on Thursday,” Alhaji Lamine revealed.
Duncan hopes to revive the side’s dwindling fortunes in the First Capital Plus League.
Kotoko are currently in the relegation zone of the Ghanaian top flight.
