Ghanaian defender David Oduro has expressed his admiration for Alejandro Balde following his move to Barcelona.
The left-back, who joined the Spanish side this summer on a three-year deal from Accra Lions, was unveiled earlier on Tuesday.
Speaking to Sporty TV, the 18-year-old Oduro shared his excitement about starting his Spanish adventure.
"My role model is Alejandro Balde. I always look up to him because I want to learn a few things from him," Oduro said.
"[Hopefully if things go well] I will compete with him. It will be a great feeling because I've always watched him play. I admire him a lot so it will be a great feeling for me."
Oduro is one of two Ghanaians joining Barcelona, with Abdul Aziz Issah also arriving on loan from Dreams FC.
Both players will start their careers at Barcelona with Barcelona B, hoping to impress manager Hansi Flick to give them first-team opportunities.
