The 2012/2013 English Premier League season has started in earnest and as usual African and Ghanaian interest in the league is at an all-time high.
Manchester City snatched the title from rivals Manchester United thanks to a last match day drama but United are determined to reclaim the title this term after recruiting Van Persie from Arsenal.
However, in the heat of all the excitement there are genuine concerns about the future of Ghana and Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien. Essien who was once upon a time the rock of the Chelsea midfield seems to be falling down the pecking order with each passing day.
Chelsea have played 3 games so far this season- the Community Shield game against Manchester City and two league games and Essien is yet to make an appearance.
Chelsea have brought in some quality signings this season and with the wind of change blowing in the corridors of Roman Abromovic’s team many have suggested that it is about time Essien looked elsewhere for the sake of his career.
So this is the question; should Essien leave Chelsea? Let’s hear from you.
