Francis Decland, a renowned boxing promoter is surprised at the outcome of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) elections.
Decland, founder of Obric Sala Entertainment and Promotions Syndicate that brought to the fore the likes of Braimah Kamoko “Bukom Banku” and Joshua Okine “Bukom Tsatsu” lost out in the race for the GBA presidency.
He finished a distant third with four votes, against eventual winner Peter Zwennes who polled 56 votes whilst Henry Manly-Spain gained 35 votes.
Decland, spotting an all-white attire with red cap was so surprise with the number of votes he obtained and could only respond by bursting out with uncontrollable laughter.
"I’m very elated for Peter (Zwennes) for causing a surprise. However, I promise from the bottom of my heart to support him in any capacity. I wish him a happy stay in office.”
The promoter was a member of the immediate past Board of the GBA.
