Ex-Ghana star, Sarfo Gyamfi doesn’t see the need for the GFA to stoop low by begging the Ayew brothers to rescind their decision to play for the Black Stars.
He stated that Dede and Jordan Ayew “do not play with four legs each so we should let them stay out of the senior national team”.
The Olympique Marseille duo recently announced their decision to ‘retire’ temporarily from the Black Stars.
Since that bombshell, the GFA have pleaded with Andre and Jordan to rescind their decision and return to the team again.
But for Sarfo Gyamfi, a former Kotoko great, says it’s wrong on the GFA to beg the Ayew brothers to return to the senior national team.
The outspoken former Kotoko and national stalwart says the Ayew brothers don’t possess any special qualities on the field of play so they should not be pampered.
He noted that Ghana has abundance of football talents so Kwesi Appiah should go for such ‘hungry’ players who are ready to die for the national cause. Sarfo says if he were to be Kwesi Appiah, he would have closed the Black Stars doors to the Ayew brothers a long time ago.
He alleges that Dede Ayew in particular has constantly displayed rudeness to Coach Appiah in camp therefore he shouldn’t be invited to the Black Stars.
