Legendary Ghanaian musician Amakye Dede on Tuesday welcomed the 1965 Cup of Nations winning team to his residence in Accra.

The Celebrated Ghanaian Musician as part of his support for the ex-footballers promised to grace the impending Golden Jubilee celebration slated for December 3 and 4.

The team which was represented by Rev. Osei Kofi, Rev Kofi Pare and some organizers of the event including Peace FM’s head of Sports Dan Kwaku Yeboah officially invited the famous musician to the event.

“I am happy to once again see these former Stars. It is a big honour for me especially with the invite they have given to me, and I also promised to do all I can to support them in their upcoming event,” he said.

“I will surely be there to give them the necessary support. I was with them two years ago when a similar thing was organized so definitely I will be there thing time around too.

The Group last week paid a courtesy call to ex-President John Kuffour who also promised to grace the occasion.

A fund raising dinner will be held at the Sunlodge hotel on December 3 with a football match between Ghana giants Asante Kotoko and the Black Stars 1992 silver winning team climaxing the event at the Accra Sports Stadium.
