Defeated GHALCA presidential candidate says he is not disappointed at losing the elections but admitted his shock at the margin between him and eventual winner Kudjoe Fianoo.
Isaac Koomson was hoping to lead the clubs mother body after having served as a vice to outgoing chairman Alhaji Raji, but lost by a massive 50 vote gap to Ashanti Gold CEO Kudjoe Fianoo who pulled 63 votes.
Speaking to the media after the elections, Koomson stated that he was confident of winning, but the delegates made their power count by voting for the experienced administrator.
He, however, admitted that the gap between himself and Fianoo was too wide.
"I can’t say I am disappointed otherwise I will not be a sportsman.
“When I contested I knew I could win, lose and it's all possible results that are going to come in here.
“But my only worry and surprise is the gap between the winner and myself".
Isaac Koomson has congratulated Fianoo and pledged his support to the new leader.
