Former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah is urging the team to put behind them the off the field issues and respond well against Comoros in Kumasi.

Appiah who is credited with uniting and leading a talented yet divided Black Stars team to their first ever world cup in Germany 2006 says the team should show their ruthless nature when they take on Comoros in Kumasi.

The only team we own as Ghanaians is the Black and the mantle is now with the current crop of players, the former Juventus man said

I am very sure that the current players who are my friends and brothers know the herculean nature of the task ahead.

But that is why we are Ghana because we have the ability to beat anybody in the world with the right attitude.

Its a sort of game that you have to be focused because the margin of error is very limited.

But I am very sure that with the unity in camp they should be able to make it a pass Comoros.
