“Denkyem” Donates To “Adopted” School In Tema

Denkyem Charitable Foundation (Ghana) a non governmental organization standing in for Denkyem USA and Give2Ghana.org, in their desire to contribute their quota to national development through sports, today Tuesday the 15 of December 2015, presented soccer balls, some jerseys and coaching manuals to the community 2 number 4 primary school, in the Tema Metropolis . This was to strengthen the already existing relationship between the school and the foundation for a couple years now.

The items were presented to the school by the vice president of “Denkyem” Ghana, Ato Yanney Jr on behalf of their foreign partners at the premises of the school. He also promised to offer services in the form of personnel to assist the school during their sports programs.

The Headmistress Mrs. Irene Bissi, on behalf of the school, thanked the organization for their continuous support in sports and promised to put the items to good use.

The foundation, together with Give2Ghana.org has been assisting the schools in the community in disciplines like soccer, athletics, basket ball, netball etc. as well as supporting the youth within the metropolis, by providing them with sports kits like soccer balls, boots, jerseys, used clothing, and organizing tournaments to foster unity and development.

There is also an ongoing project with Life Center Academy, Burlington, in Burlington County, New Jersey, U.S.A, where scholarships are given to talented students in the area of sports eg. Soccer and basket ball to further their education.

“Denkyem’s” emergence has brought hope and a bright future to the youth in Tema and beyond, and deserves commendation for their efforts.

Items being presented to the headmistress, sports teachers and pupils of the school by Ato Yanney Jr on behalf of the foundation.
