Deputy Sports Minister commends NDC Government for building Bukom Boxing Arena

Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Pius Enam Hadzide, has commended the immediate past Youth and Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuje and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for building the first Boxing Arena in the country.

Mr. Hadzide made this known on Wednesday during the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) Congress and Elections at the Theodosia Okok Hockey Pitch in Accra.

“I must take this opportunity to commend my immediate past Sports Minister Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye and his government for building the first Boxing Arena in Bukom,” he said.

The Bukom Boxing Arena is a 4,000-seater open air arena and it was commissioned last December.

The arena has hosted two international fights and three national bouts.
