The Deputy Sports Minister Pius Enam Hadzidze has expressed his optimism in the Black Starlets advising them to remain focus as they strive to perform better at the U17 World Cup.

Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin and his charges will have to prepare adequately for the FIFA U17 World Cup to be hosted in India later this year in October.

Notwithstanding the fact that the Starlets lost out on the African Youth Championship trophy to Mali by a lone goal, the Deputy Sports Minister is very optimistic that the team perform well at the global stage.

"They can now learn lessons from the past and forge ahead for the task which is in front of us."

"There is yet another major success in front of us which is the World Cup, which even offers us a bigger platform to market ourselves and country."

The Starlets also missed out on the opportunity promised them by the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo to name them among the hall of famers at the yet to be opened Cape Coast Sports Emporium.
