In an interview with footballmadeinghana.com, the former Asante Kotoko coach stated he is responsible for the integration and adaptation of players from the youth team to the he first team.
“I’m an assistant coach and transitional coach, the transisitonal coach is the coach who is responsible for the intergration and adaptation of players from the youth team to the first team.
“And also assisting in the training and match session of the first team and the youth team”
The former Black Queens coach also explained further how he prepared the mindset of the youth players for their development in the first team.
“I’m in charge of how to prepare the player from the youth team to the first team. Sometimes he plays the game for the first team and the next game he has to play for the youth team.
“So If he play 90 minutes in the first team and you ask him to go and play for the youth team in the next game what do you think his mindset will be. Will you even see it normal.
“So it’s my responsibility to make sure the player has the right mindset and know that it’s part of their development.
“Intergration is not you coming from Africa to Europe, is about you leaving a club to another club. Some of them are from Norway some of them from UK and Finland. But I’m able to tell them how to behave.
“This how you have to go about it. I know what sort of instructions I give to this specific players. In matches I know how to do with this players so that they will not be emmotionally affected or mentally fatigue but physically well prepared and tactically have sound mind and continue to work” He added
