Former Asante Kotoko coach Mas-ud Didi Dramani has lauded honest Steve Polack for being objective with his comments on Nuhu Liman's decision to award his side a penalty in the FA Cup against Nea Salamina on Wednesday.

Steve Polack honestly disagreed with the manufactured penalty by Nuhu Liman, insisting he wanted to win the game but not through the award of a dubious penalty.

Polack after the comments has come under huge criticism from Kotoko fans who claim he should have lied about the incident.

But the former Kotoko trainer in an interview with GHANAsoccernet.com lauded Polack for his bravery and honesty.

"He doubted it and it is good he spoke the truth. He will be a victim of what he is benefiting today. So it's good he speaks about it now," Didi said.

"Someone may not be happy but he said it as it is. Sometimes you (coach) win a game but you congratulate your opponent because you know they had hard luck.

"I don't begrudge Polack. His comment tells how our football needs to get better and I commend him for that," he added.

However, in a shocking turn of events, the honest coach has been forced by agitated and vociferous fans of Kotoko to eat back his words, apologising for being honest.
