Dirtector of Education ask athletes to put in their best

Kadjebi-Asato, (V/R), Jan. 27, GNA - The Volta Regional Director of Education, Mr Kwasi Hobenu has called on the region's sports representatives at this year's National Inter-Schools and Colleges Milo Sports and Games competition to put in their best performance to bring glory to the region.

He regretted that the athletics and other sporting teams performed badly last year which dashed the hopes of Region of winning laurels and prizes.

Mr Hobenu therefore called on the coaches, players and officials to work extra hard to make and impact at this year's competition by placing at an enviable position.

The Regional Director gave the advice at a sports festival at Kadjebi-Asato to select individual sports boys and girls to represent the Region at the competition.

Mr Hobenu stressed the importance of sports in the current socio-economic environment and urged all participants to attach seriousness to sporting activities.

He commended various personalities and organizations for remaining committed to sponsoring sporting activities in the region and urged them not to relent in their efforts.
