District Assembly to host Under-15 competition

Akyem-Oda, July 12, GNA - The Birim South District Assembly will this month host an Under-15 Sports Competition as part of efforts to unearth and develop sporting talents in the District. The competition, which was endorsed at the last General Meeting of the Assembly, after a briefing by the Sub-Committee, will be held at the Oda Sports Stadium.

The GNA Sports was informed that the talents which will be discovered at the competition will form the nucleus of the teams of the various disciplines to be undertaken.

The measure is a follow up to the success that the District achieved at an Under-12 Sports Competition, which it recently participated in at Akwatia in the Kwaebibrem District. The competition will have on its menu disciplines such as football, athletics and volleyball. 12 July 07
