Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe and Argentina’s Javier Chacon called on former President Jerry John Rawlings ahead of their fistic clash on Saturday at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The two boxers after their Friday’s morning weigh-in at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel drove straight to the residence of the ex-president at Ridge to officially inform him about the upcoming fight.
Ex-President Rawlings who is a boxing lover urged the two boxers to defend their national flags, but he was quick to predict a win for his countryman Dogboe.
Dogboe and Chacon in responding to the former military officer’s comment promised fireworks on Saturday.
At stake for Saturday’s battle is Dogboe’s WBO international super bantamweight belt.
