Some Chelsea fans have advised former midfielder Michael Essien against becoming a Black Stars coach after completing his UEFA coaching course.
Many were excited about the journey ahead for the former footballer but suggested that taking a Ghana job would dent his resume.
A few others suggested that he join Jose Mourinho's coaching staff to build his coaching career.
Michael Essien announced the acquisition of his UEFA coaching certificate on November 1, 2024, while showing gratitude to people who played a role in the journey.
"Finally done with my UEFA certificate in football management journey. Thanks all for the help. I keep learning about the beautiful game."
The former Black Stars midfielder currently serves as a technical team member for Danish top-flight side Nordsjaelland.
He first joined the youth coaches in 2020, when he started his coaching education before transitioning to the first team's bench.
