Accra Hearts of Oak beat Vision Explorers Soccer Academy 3-1 on an aggregate in a friendly game played at the Pantang Vision Explorers Stadium.
Maxwell Boakye and Bernard Dong Bortey scored in the first 24 minutes of the first game while Kwame Kizito netted the lone winner in the second game.
A two-part friendly, an hour for each game, saw coach Henry Lamptey 's side run away with a 3-1 win aggregate win.
Latest signing Malik Akowuah and Dong Bortey were the star names for the first team as they took the game to VESA.
Maxwell Boakye got the game off with a lovely finish in the 18th minute of action and Bortey doubled the score after Kassenu Ghandy's shot was blocked in the box by the flailing arm of a VESA defender in the 24th minute.
The goals dried up but not the action on the field though a massive downpour nearly threatened to end the game as a contest.
Coach Lamptey made changes for the second game and they looked very fluid compared to the first team. However, they had to wait until the 26th minute to find the lone winner through Kwame Kizito.
In the end, Dong Bortey was the only player to pick a knock in the competitive friendly encounter but coach would have seen all he wanted to see in the two-hour contest.
The curtain-raiser for the Kotoko match went well, and the team would be expected to replicate the performance on Sunday in the semi-finals of the GHALCA SIX.
