Dr Kwame Kyei threatens to sack Kotoko players

The Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei, however, has threatened to sack players following their exit from the MTN FA Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors were stunned by 2:1 by Asokwa Deportivo in the round of 64 on Sunday the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

However, Dr Kyei in a leaked audio is head screaming at the players and expressing his disappointment.

“If you know you can’t play for Kotoko again, tell me. You guys can not go and play ‘your stupid’ football and I will become the subject of insults afterwards, from coach to all of you, if you can not do the job just leave”.

“Camarat (owner of Asokwa Deportivo) doesn’t give his players 100 cedis. He buys porridge and they all share to eat. That’s their only motivation to play. Then you allow these small boys to beat you and you call yourself professionals”. He continued.

“I don’t care dissolving the entire team. I can dissolve the whole team, sack all of you and start afresh. This club is not a useless club. It is a team with history. This stupid and village attitude is the reason you cannot play in Europe”. He added.

Kotoko have suffered defeats in their last two matches losing to Aduana Stars and Asokwa Deportivo in the League and FA Cup respectively.

The Kumasi based side are preparing to face Bechem United coming Friday at the Accra sports stadium in the week 12 of the Ghana premier league.
