President of newly promoted Premier League side Dreams FC, Kurt Okraku says the team is much equipped in their quest to play and maintain their premiership status in the up-coming league season.

Kurt Okraku disclosed that Dreams FC are building a formidable team to match up with the so called big sides and has accordingly secured the services of experience players like goalkeeper Mozart Adjetey and Small Boy Korbah to beef up the team, in a bid to avoid relegation after the impending season.

"I have so much believe in the team we are building because the new players are pushing above their limits to integrate well with the old ones. However, we cannot rely solely on that after watching the G6 tournament which saw all participating clubs doing very well, in my opinion." He said.

He added, " we will play to stay in the league but if we are able to pull a coup and win the league or the FA cup, we'll take it as an added bonus."

Ghana football Association is yet to come out with a date for the start of the new season but clubs have commenced pre-season training for weeks now.

Kurt Okraku cited that, " the delay of the league has been a worry to all the clubs in the league. Development is enhanced by competition, and so when the players you are trying to develop get competitions, it helps a lot, but with or without competition, Dreams FC will continue to pursue what we believe in and that's to develop talents and offer them the necessary tuition."

"We have combined the conventional football team system and the academy system with a 12-month programme in which provisions have been made to follow judiciously, so I can say the delay hurts, but we have laid out structures to tackle these kind of things.

Dreams FC qualified to play in the Ghana Premier league after winning the zone three of the division one league with 56 points in 2015 but their qualification has been saddled with a legal tussle against Tema Youth FC for fielding an ineligible player during the league campaign.
