Charismatic head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko David Duncan has lauded the pre-season preparations of the club but insist that is not enough to win the league.
The Porcupine Warriors began their pre-season preparations with a win over league champions AshantiGold in the SWAG Cup and made Serbian side FK Jagodina their next victim, thrashing them by 5-1.
The Oseikrom Boys added the maiden FirsTrust G6 trophy to their cabinet after putting up a convincing performance in the 4-day tournament to emerge winners.
The head coach of the side has lauded the players’ performance in the pre-season matches saying their work rate is a replica of ‘work in progress’.
In a chat with Ghanasoccernet.com, David Duncan said “The pre-season matches went well. But there is still room for improvement. A case of work-in-progress.”
Even though Duncan’s confidence ahead of the kickoff of the 2016 Premier League is at its zenith, he still believes that the boys can do more to make the fans happy.
Asante Kotoko have so far won five out of the seven matches played so far recording a draw and a loss in the process.
