Ghanaian born Dutch youth international, Edwin Gyasi has revealed that he is willing to play for Ghana at the senior level if given the chance.
The former FC Twente prodigy was born in Holland but has Ghanaian parentage.
Speaking to Sportscrusader.com, Gyasi said, “If the officials approach me to play for Ghana, I will come. I was born in Holland but I am Ghanaian. I have played for the junior teams of Netherlands but if the officials call on me to play for Ghana, I think I will come.
“I am a Ghanaian with the name Gyasi and my grandfather, Opoku Afriyie even played for Kotoko.”
The 23- year old Dutch born utility man is currently in the books of Rhoda JC with a return of 1 goal and 3 assists in 3 matches played.
Gyasi rose to fame in the 2012 campaign under the watchful eyes of Steve Maclearan, with a career high of 8 goals at the end of the season.
