Dutch side Willem II Tilburg have handed Ghanaian teenager Asumah Abubakar a one-and-a-half year contract extension, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.
The 19-year-old joined the Dutch Eredivise side on a short-term deal last March after a successful trial.
Willem II Tilburg technical director Joris Mathijsen said: ''Asumah is physically strong and has much footballing talent. He is still very young, so he gets us the opportunity to develop through.''
Abubakar, born in Kumasi, hold a Portuguese (EU) passport and has played for Portugal's U19 team.
He has made 11 appearances for the side this season and displayed prospects of becoming a first team regular.
