Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs played a determined game to beat visiting Real Tamale United (RTU) 2-0 in their GT Premier league match at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast on Tuesday. Dwarfs who played one of their best games so far at home, matched their opponents squarely and went ahead to score the opener in the 44th minute through their midfielder, Ekow Ayitey with a sizzling shot. Ayitey, after collecting a pass from fullback Mark Ofori, outpaced his marker to score the opening goal.

RTU resumed the second half strongly and their forwards made up of Mori Nasiru, Philip Amoako, Moli Baker and Gafara Abu launched series of attacks in their opponents' vital area, but the ironclad defence of the home side managed to hold them at bay.

Dwarfs took over the tempo of the game in the 70th minute and following a series of raids in the RTU area they earned a free kick from which substitute Douglas Mustapha scored in the 78th minute to seal the doom of the visitors.
