Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko attacker and 2008 Ghana Premier Goal King, Eric Kwabena Bekoe has angrily denied allegations that he will be returning home after failing to impress newly promoted Moroccan club, Chabab Atlas Khenifra, claiming, “I terminated my contract”.

Reports in the local media had indicated the former Asante Kotoko striker will be returning to Ghana in April after he failed to impress his employers, but the player has strongly and angrily denied those reports.

According to the former Petrojet goal poacher, the club failed to fulfill their part of the contract after he signed an 18-month contract with them and that there is no truth reports that he failed to impress the club.

In an exclusive interview with Sportscrusader.com, Bekoe said “My bother there is no truth in the story. I had an 18-months contract with the club, but they have not been able to pay me as we agreed upon. So I thought it wise to terminate the contract instead of hustling in somebody’s country”.

“So it is never true that I have failed to impress. How can someone who was invited for a month’s trial fail to impress after he was handed an 18-month contract after just ten days with the club? Bekoe questioned.
