Former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper, Isaac Amoako has revealed that following the road crash the porcupines had two years ago, two of his teammates Ashittey Olenu and Baba Mahama are no more playing football.
The porcupines were involved in a road crash two years ago when they were returning from Accra after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies in the league. The crash claimed the life of Assistant Equipment Officer Kofi Asare. The aftermath of the tragedy has not been pleasant.
One of the victims, Isaac Amoako, who spoke on Kumasi based Metro FM, said, “Olenu Ashittey and Baba Mahama are no more playing actively due to the accident. The driver is also not working because he suffered serious injuries. We the victims have decided not to talk about the compensations because of the progress of the club.”
”As for me, I have no problem with the situation now but I do not know about the others,” he said.
