Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has opened up about his special relationship with Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
“I can’t hide it from people, Kwesi Appiah is like a father to me” Wakaso revealed on Face to Face on Citi TV.
The Deportivo Alaves ace was handed his full international debut by coach Appiah in a 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi in 2012.
He has gone to represent Ghana at the 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments as well as the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
