Ebenezer Ofori sidelined in Stuttgart's 2-0 defeat to Hertha Berlin in Bundesliga opener

Ghana international Ebenezer Ofori sat on the bench as Stuttgart struggled and fell to a 2-0 defeat against Hertha Berlin in their first Bundesliga match of the season on Saturday.

Ofori was surprisingly omitted from the starting team and never had a look in despite the team struggling to get any creativity in the middle of the pitch.

He joined the club last January and was a revelation, going on to help the team to gain promotion to the top tier.

Ofori played in every pre-season game after returning from his extended break but will be feeling cold after being left on the bench.

The Ghana mdifieldder will be hoping that he returns to the starting line up against Mainz 05 next week.
