Ebusua Dwarfs captain Nicholas Gyan has apologised to Hearts of Oak after his wild claims of the Phobians being masters at destroying players' careers comment -which has enraged the club's supporters.

Gyan, has back-tracked over the comment which has touched on nerves in the West African nation.

The leading Ghana Premier League goal scorer claimed on Kumasi-based Metro FM on Tuesday that he refused to sign for Hearts during the second transfer window because the giants are famed to ruing the careers of footballers.

The unsavoury comment has not gone down well with the club's supporters, who have launched stinging attack on the 26-year-old.

The incessant attack has forced the forward to issue an apology to the club, but shockingly claimed his words have been altered.

"That's not what I said. By the way I am sorry for that," he wrote on his facebook page

"Please Hearts management and supporters should forgive me. That's not what I said. I am sorry please.
